What Is RelayEd?

RelayEd is an open marketplace where healthcare educators, clinicians, and students can browse and sell specialty-specific study guides, clinical tools, exam prep, and professional development resources.

Choose your seller tier

Select Free, Pro, or Premium (see tier details below). You can upgrade at any time.

Connect Stripe

Go to Settings → Payout Method to manage payouts.

List your first resource

Upload your file, write a clear title and description, add a picture, and set a price. You can list both physical and digital resources.

Get paid

Funds are generally released 48 hours following a digital purchase or after your shipment is marked as delivered (or 10 business days after physical sales) at which point they will move from your Pending Balance to your Available Balance. You'll be able to cash out funds in your Available Balance.

Payment processing note: Earnings are approximate. Stripe charges ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction and PayPal charges ~3.49% + $0.49. Actual take-home may vary.

How Payouts Work

For each sale, your earnings are automatically calculated and held until the payout cycle. Here's what's deducted per transaction:

What is Stripe?

Stripe is one of the world's most trusted payment platforms, used by millions of businesses. It handles all credit card processing, fraud prevention, and payouts so you never have to manage sensitive payment data yourself. Creating a Stripe account is free.

Connect your Stripe account

Go to Seller Dashboard → Settings → "Connect Stripe." You'll need your legal name, date of birth, last 4 of your SSN, and bank account details. If you already have a Stripe account, you can connect the same one.

Managing your Stripe dashboard

Log in at dashboard.stripe.com for transaction history, payout reports, bank account updates, and tax documents. A 1099-K is provided if your earnings exceed the IRS threshold.

"Connection failed"

Make sure all info matches your legal documents exactly. Stripe may ask for a photo ID.

"No payout yet"

First payouts can take 7–14 days. Check your Stripe dashboard for status.

"Can I use PayPal?"

Seller payouts go through Stripe only. Buyers can pay via PayPal at checkout.

From your Seller Dashboard → Products → "List Item":

Title: Be specific and search-friendly (e.g. "NAPLEX Pharmacy Calculations — 50 Questions with Answer Key")
Description: Who it's for, what problem it solves, what's included, file format (PDF or PNG), page count
Cover image: A polished 1280 × 720 px cover (see Part 7)
Price & file: Set pricing, attach your digital file

How buyers receive your files

After purchase, buyers get an order confirmation with a download link — no shipping, no waiting. This makes digital products the easiest way to start earning on RelayEd.

Statistics or data: Link to or cite the original data source.
Images and figures: Include a caption with the source.
Primarily original content: A note like "Developed by [Your Name, Credentials] based on clinical practice" is sufficient.

Enforcement: Listings violating these policies will be removed. Repeated violations may result in permanent account suspension. Contact the RelayEd team before publishing if you have questions.

Your Obligations as a Seller

When you list a resource, you represent and warrant that:

You own or have all rights necessary to sell and license the resource.
Your listing is accurate, complete, and not misleading.
Clinical or healthcare content includes a disclosure that it does not constitute professional advice.
You are not selling employer-created materials, published works, or PHI/patient-identifiable content.
You will honor all sales and provide commercially reasonable customer support to buyers.
You are at least 18 years old and not previously banned from the Services.

Independent contractor: Your relationship with RelayEd is that of an independent contractor. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, regulatory compliance, and professional obligations.

Listing accuracy required
