About Kathryn

Kathryn brings more than 18 years of nursing experience in bedside care, nursing education, home care quality, and legal nurse consulting. She has worked as a legal nurse consultant for more than 14 years, reviewing medical records, analyzing nursing care, identifying documentation concerns, and supporting attorneys in healthcare-related cases.

Since 2017, Kathryn has taught nursing students in classroom and clinical settings. She created the DECODE-THINK Method™, 11 repeatable steps to help students break down NCLEX questions, recognize clinical cues, identify patient risks, and select safe nursing actions. Her courses and resources also teach practicing nurses how to improve documentation, protect their licenses, and connect daily nursing decisions with standards of care.
